ABOUT ME
Thanks for dropping by.
Perhaps, In my life experiences in the thirst and quest for knowledge and understanding…I have arguably gained great insight into human nature in a variety on capacities, internally with the individual to externally involving local, regional, national to international groups in a variety of cultures.
After a good or not so good night’s sleep a new day begins. What I think will happen that day never usually does. The reality is that my understanding for truth and wisdom has changed as the accumulation of new life experienced, millions of moments with reflection, have modified my own “truths.” Sometimes a little and other times immensely.
The more I grow and I think I know, the more vast the concepts and the less I understand. Life, truth, the absence of pain, difficulties as well as the joys and simple pleasures of life I find, are not finite.
It is the journey and the direction, not the destination, that allows one to choose whether or not to live in the present. We seek answers and life is the journey. I have come to terms that I have very little control over most things…but I have choices from time to time. I seem to feel better helping others and this is natural to me, which I am grateful for. My poems came as a necessity for me to express my most inner feelings in the most truthful way I could. I was compelled to do it for its sake alone.
The word “Poet” is a societal brand I can take or leave…but what I have written is from my heat. As a person needs to breathe to live, I needed to release my expressions in the way I did as the same.
If you can get something out of it or relate to any part of what I am saying then I am grateful. If it doesn’t, no worries. The POEMS vary in subject but at the same time are all inner connected by energy and the outpour of thoughts to paper. If you choose to, kindly let me know what they mean to you in any way shape or form or any thought you have about them if you are up for it.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and them as I look forward to any of your thoughts, for communication promotes understanding. Simply put, what do they mean to you.
With compassion and respect,
Dean Zelikovsky

“I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures.” ~ Lao Tsu
